Dave's Hot Chicken in Massachusetts

"I’m in search of a new fried chicken place now that BT‘s has left the neighborhood. I stopped in this afternoon to try Dave’s hot chicken. The server asked me what heat level and I let her know this was my first time there and she kindly guided me towards the medium; it was just perfect. The pickles were perfect, the coleslaw was perfect, the sauce was perfect, the heat level was perfect, the chicken and the crunch, and the juiciness were perfect. The bread was very good. And the service I got was excellent. It only took about five minutes for my slider to be ready, the store was very quiet, but still had about 20 people in it on a Monday afternoon. When packing up my order, the server kindly offered helpful tips on which sauce to put on and gave me an extra packet of Dave sauce and pure honey, which I added to the sandwich and it was awesome. I forget the server’s name, but my receipt says I was waited on by Daijon J. She was so friendly and helpful. I really appreciate it. I paid $7.59 for a slider, which is a smallish chicken sandwich. It came to $9 with tip, so I won’t be bringing the whole family as this is a bit pricey. But I do hope to stop by with one of my kids as a treat sometime"

"I'm going to start off by saying that it's always great service and food at Dave's. Every once in a while there's a little bit of a wait for your order when it is busy in there but I also consider that a good thing knowing the chicken may take a while to cook because it isn't fake chicken. I also witness them flouring the chicken strips themselves right before they put it in the fryer which I enjoy knowing it's not sitting out like that all day. But today I had a very nice experience. I was sitting in the lobby and I was super emotional because of some personal things and one of the employees who I assume works in the kitchen was walking by me on his way back to the back door and he made it a point to stop and ask how I was doing. I wish I knew his name because the fact he took a couple minutes to stop and ask if I was okay during a really busy period was so thoughtful. I wish I knew his name to give him a proper shout out because he honestly changed the whole trajectory of my night. He was a tall very pleasant heavy set man with a beard. I hope he sees this and knows that he made a difference today in someone's life that he didn't even know. Next time I'm there and I see him I want to make sure I tell his superiors how wonderful he was."

"Soooo yummy! This was my first time trying Dave’s!!! I ordered a #4 single tender slider meal which came with fries. Drink was separate. You also get a choice of how spicy you want your chicken. I chose medium. My slider came with 3 delicious pickles on the side. The slider has Dave’s sauce on one side and coleslaw on the bottom. The coleslaw didn’t make the bun soggy which I appreciate. The fries were crisp and seasoned to perfection. Needless to say I tore it up!!! My husband got the two tender meal which also comes with fries. Bomb!!! The tenders are so big and filling so there were leftovers. The artwork reminds me of early 90’s graffiti I used to have in my jeans and jean jackets. I missed those days. I just loved it. DHC is absolutely delicious and i highly recommend! Definitely better than other chicken places that shall remain nameless!"

"This was my first experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken, and they did not disappoint. The prices were not terrible, and had some decent options. I went with the 10 piece bites, fries, and medium drink. It hit the spot, and would recommend them. I would like to see some grilled chicken & more dipping options in the future."

"Chicken is perfectly fried and the slider was constructed with care. You can tell when workers care about the food quality. It's a high quality restaurant and reasonable prices. Dave's #2 is a great deal: 2 Sliders w/ Fries You can choose heat level of each slider. Try the Small Top-Loaded Spicy Buffalo Mac I tried Small Top Loaded Fries - good simple option. Has pickles on top. The two ladies in the front were excellent. Saw I was waiting, asked for my online order, and quickly got me out of there. This was really an amazing experience. Online ordering could be better. Good, not great."
